The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) opened its HSUHK (Nansha) Centre alongside its incorporated office in Nansha, Guangzhou in May 2025. The initiative has been heralded as a milestone in the University’s development and expansion in the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
HSUHK proudly introduces Hong Kong’s first professional doctorate in decision analytics — the Doctor of Decision Analytics (DDA), launching in the 2026-27 academic year.
In the Competitive Research Funding Schemes for the Local Self-financing Degree Sector (2025-26 Exercise) launched by the Research Grants Council, HSUHK secured a total funding of HK$12.67 million for 19 projects under the Faculty Development Scheme and the Inter-institutional Development Scheme (IIDS).
Proudly recognised for their groundbreaking research, seven distinguished scholars from HSUHK have been named in Stanford University’s “World’s Top 2% Scientists” list.

This year, The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) is celebrating its 45th anniversary. The University has come a long way since it was first established as Hang Seng School of Commerce (HSSC) in 1980 as a non- profit private institution in Hong Kong.
HSUHK has consistently been recognised for its excellent performance in promoting sustainability.
Dr George Ho, Associate Professor at the Department of Supply Chain and Information Management, won the Silver Award for his project “ExpoDrone” at the 50th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions.
