HSUHK has consistently been recognised for its excellent performance in promoting sustainability. The University is now the first institution in the Greater China Region to join the prestigious global initiative, the Climate-U Network. The Network, initiated by University College London in the UK, unites universities from all over the globe to address the pressing climate crisis. Other members include institutions from Brazil, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Morocco, South Africa, Uganda, and the UK.

HSUHK has also been awarded the “Carbon Neutrality and Sustainable Development – Gold Award” by Hong Kong Inheritage Foundation, highlighting the University’s efforts for achieving carbon neutrality and promoting sustainability in-line with United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
