HSUHK has received generous donations from Dr Yip Kit-chuen to support the University’s development. In recognition of Dr Yip’s commitment to HSUHK, an Appreciation and Naming Ceremony of Yip Kit Chuen and Yuen Yuk Hing Hall was held in October 2024.

Officiating guests included Dr Yip; his eldest son Dr Daniel Yip and his third son Mr Thomas Yip; Dr Moses Cheng, Chairman of the HSUHK Council; Dr Patrick Poon, Governor and Chairman of the Fundraising and Donation Committee, HSUHK; and President Simon Ho.

To honour the longstanding support and generous contributions of all members of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong —  Foundation, which have significantly enhanced campus facilities, teaching equipment, and student services, HSUHK has named the gallery located at the Creative Humanities Hub “The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong — Foundation Gallery”. An appreciation and naming reception took place in August 2024. Dr Patrick Poon and President Simon Ho officiated the event.
