Professor Elias Shiu and Dr Peter Wong, Honorary Doctorate recipients from HSUHK, were invited to deliver lectures as part of the University’s “Visionary Wisdom — HSUHK Honorary Doctorate Lecture Series”.
Professor Elias Shiu, a world-renowned actuarial science scholar and 2024 Honorary Doctor of HSUHK, delivered a lecture on the topic of “Interest Rate Risk Management – Extending Immunisation Theory”. He also discussed the issue of asset/liability management and presented a solution to the problem of interest rate risk management.
Dr Peter Wong, Chairman of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited and 2023 Honorary Doctor of HSUHK, delivered a lecture on the topic of “Opportunities and Challenges for Younger Generations amidst the Globalised Economy”, and shared his seasoned personal experience.
